Abstract
This research is intended to examine and analyze: 1) the effect of organizational culture, leadership to work motivation, organizational commitment and employee performanceat syariahbanking in Makassar city, 2) the effect of work motivation, organizational commitment to employee performance at syariahbanking in Makassar city, 3) the effect of organizational culture, leadership indirectly to performance through work motivationand organizational commitment at syariahbanking in Makassar city.
This research used secondary data of document and primary data of survey using questionnaire/research instrument. The research populationwas all employees of 1 year or more working at syariah banking, consisted of 522 respondents. The sample with slovin formulation consisted of 226employees, determined by Multi-Stage Stratified Random Sampling. The data were analyzed by inferential and descriptive statistic with Structural Equation Model (SEM)-AMOS.
The research result indicated that: 1) organizational culture has significant and positive direct effect to work motivation, organizational commitment and employee performance at syariah banking in Makassar city. 2) Leadership has insignificant direct effect to employee performance. 3) Work motivation and organizational commitment have significant effect to employee performance. 4) Organizational culture and leadership have significant indirect effect to performance through work motivation and organizational commitment at syariah banking in Makassar city.
