ABSTRACT
IMAM HIDAYAT (2018). Effect of workload and work environment on job satisfaction through work stress (study at PT Guna Indah Makmur Region of South Sulawesi) (supervised by Herman Sjahruddin and Nurlaely Razak).
This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work environment on job satisfaction through employee work stress at PT. Guna Indah Makmur (GIM). Data collection uses primary data obtained from the questionnaire. The population is employees of PT. Guna Indah Makmur (GIM) Bantaeng which amounted to 54 employees. Due to the limited number of population, this study uses sampling techniques using the total sampling method. The analysis used in hypothesis testing is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) WarpPLS version, 6.0.
The results of this study partially Workload has a positive and significant effect on employee job stress, work environment has a negative and significant effect on employee job stress, work stress has a positive and insignificant effect on employee job satisfaction, workload has a negative and insignificant effect on employee job satisfaction , The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, workload has a positive and insignificant effect on employee job satisfaction mediated by work stress, and the work environment has a negative and insignificant effect on employee job satisfaction mediated by work stress.
